Electric cars were a mistake
3 weeks ago - 1 replies
People mistakenly treat electric vehicles as a godsend, when in fact they're just a capitalist ruse.

Try to remember what has happened to every battery-operated device you've owned. Not only are they always out of juice, but once the battery no longer holds charge, you throw it in the trash. This is exactly the case with electric cars. A new battery pack can cost as much as a brand new car, making electric cars effectively single-use. How sustainable is that? Meanwhile my 90s Toyota is still running strong.

RAM requirements increasing
3 months ago - 0 replies
Today, once again, I went to the store to buy more RAM so I could keep using the Internet. For 20 years I've been using the Innerneh to do the same thing: write text and look at 50kb jpg files. But this same task is requiring more and more processing power from my computer, and a faster connection. Nobody else is noticing this. "RAM is dirt cheap, just buy more lol." I need to upgrade my PC because sites are full of bloat. They want to track your mouse and use timers to count the milliseconds you spend hovering over a pic. I don't want that. They do. Yet I need to pay up if I want to keep my meme and social addiction. I'm basically paying for my own surveillance and being blackmailed.
